First Login, Plan, and Balance
This page explains what you should do before starting your first generation in FOXI Studio. The main goal is not only to sign in, but to check three things: account, plan, and FX balance. If they are ready, you can create a project and start the first video.

What users should understand first
FOXI Studio works as a service with a personal account. Your projects, settings, launch history, costs, and finished materials are connected to the account.
Before the first run, you should:
- sign in to the account;
- open the workspace;
- make sure the plan is active;
- check the FX balance;
- create or select a project;
- complete Quick Setup or fill in base settings manually;
- run a small test instead of starting a large video batch immediately.
If you skip the plan or balance check, some buttons may not launch, or a task may stop before completion.
Step 1. Sign in to the account
Open the FOXI Studio login page and sign in. After login, you will enter either the account area or the workspace, depending on how your account is configured.
At this stage, check:
- whether you are signed in to the correct account;
- whether you see the button to open the workspace;
- whether there is any inactive plan message;
- whether the balance or top-up button is visible.
If you have several accounts or the browser automatically used an old session, sign out and sign in again with the correct email.
Step 2. Check the plan
The plan defines which features are available. For example, one plan may include only basic actions, while another may unlock Scout, Analytics, YouTube upload, WordPress, Anti-Detect, longer videos, or multiple projects.

Where to check:
- in the bottom bar of the workspace;
- in the account area;
- in interface messages when trying to start a paid feature.
If a feature does not start, do not assume it is a bug immediately. Often the reason is simple: the feature is not included in the current plan.
Examples:
| Situation | What it may mean | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Scout does not start | Scout is unavailable on the plan | Check the plan or ask the AI assistant |
| YouTube upload is blocked | Publishing requires a higher plan | Check access to the YouTube module |
| Long video length is unavailable | There is a duration limit | Start with a short test |
| Cannot create another project | Project count limit | Use the current project or change plan |
Step 3. Check FX balance
The top panel contains the balance button. It shows how much FX is available for generations.

Click the balance to open the costs and top-up window.

In this window, several values matter:
- Available — FX that can be spent right now.
- Held — FX temporarily reserved for active tasks.
- Cost history — operations that already charged FX.
- Filters — help you understand which project or stage spends the most.
- Generation prices — help estimate future costs.
What “held” means
When you start a task, FOXI may reserve part of the FX in advance. This helps prevent a task from stopping in the middle because of insufficient balance.
Example:
- You have 1000 FX.
- You start a long video.
- FOXI temporarily holds 300 FX.
- The available balance becomes lower.
- After completion, the actual cost is charged, and the unused reserve is returned.
If you see that part of the balance is held, check active tasks and the project log.
How much FX to top up for the first test
For the first test, do not start a large batch immediately. It is better to run a small test.
Safe recommended order:
- Top up a small amount, for example 500–1000 FX.
- Create one test project.
- Add 1–2 topics.
- Create a short video.
- Check the script, voice, images, Builder, and final file.
- Only then start a series or project chain.
The average cost of a video is often around $1–2, but this is not guaranteed for every mode. Long videos, many frames, AI video clips, 2K/4K, and repeated regenerations increase the cost.
Step 4. Create the first project
After checking the plan and balance, create a project. A project is a separate channel, niche, or content direction.

For the project name, use a clear English name without unnecessary symbols. For example:
HistoryLab;SpaceFacts;HealthChannel;BusinessShorts.
Do not use overly generic names such as test if you plan to work with several real channels. Later it will be hard to understand which project contains which settings.
Step 5. Complete Quick Setup
The Quick Setup button helps configure a project through a wizard. This is the best path for beginners.

The wizard asks simple questions:
- what kind of channel you want;
- what language the content should use;
- which country the channel targets;
- whether a main character is needed;
- which subtitle style to choose;
- which competitors you have;
- whether to top up balance before launch.
The more clearly you answer, the more accurately FOXI configures the project.
Weak answer:
Make a history channel.
Good answer:
I want an English-language channel for the US about mysterious historical events. Videos should be 8–10 minutes, with a serious documentary tone, cinematic images, no cartoon look, and no aggressive clickbait.
Step 6. Run a small test
Do not start 10 videos right away. First check how the project works on one topic.
Minimum test:
- Add one topic to the queue.
- Click Full cycle.
- Watch the log.
- Wait for the finished result.
- Download the video and thumbnail.
- Review the quality.
- If something is wrong, ask the AI assistant for corrections.

What to do if something is unclear
Open the AI assistant and write in plain language. It exists exactly for this.
Example requests:
- “I just signed in. What should I click next?”
- “Check my project before the first launch.”
- “How much FX do I need for a test with two 6-minute videos?”
- “Why does Scout not start?”
- “Look at the log and explain the error in simple words.”
Common beginner mistakes
| Mistake | Why it is bad | Better approach |
|---|---|---|
| Starting a long batch without a test | You may spend balance on the wrong style | Create 1 short video first |
| Not checking the plan | Some buttons may be unavailable | Check the bottom interface status |
| Not checking balance | The task may stop | Top up FX before launch |
| Writing a vague channel idea | AI config becomes too generic | Describe audience, language, style, topic |
| Ignoring the log | The error is hard to understand | Read the latest log lines |
Where to go next
After first login and balance check, go to Base settings or start Quick Setup if you want FOXI to guide you through the project step by step.
